Schools out for summer

David and his teacher Mrs. Brown at the awards assembly.
David and Grant received several awards.
They both got an award for perfect attendance in the 2 semester. Grant had perfect attendance for the year except I checked him out of school a half an hour early one day for a Dr. apt. His school awards you a bike if you have perfect attendance, so he was really bummed out that he missed that half hour!

 Kindergarten Graduation! David walking.

Kindergarten poem: K- is for Kindergarten Hip Hip Hooray, I- is for Imagination we use everyday , N- is for  numbers- we know one, two three. D- is for drawing, the best you can see! E-is for exercise to keep our bodies strong. R- is for reading books all day long. G- is for good friends. We made more each day. A- is for the alphabet we know how to say. R- is for remembering everything we learned. T- is for treats every Thursday we earned. E- is for excitement. This year we've had some. N- is for next year. First grade here we come.

The school held a reception for all the graduates after the ceremony, Kindergarten, 8th grade and Seniors. David had a class of 6 boys.

Lets go fly a kite

Last month we invited my family over for a BBQ, we had a lot of fun flying kites!
Grant doing one of his poses again.

Grant flying an angry bird kite.

 Alan such a cutie pie.
 I am flying an owl.

Another thank you to my sister Alaina who took the pictures.
My brother Gary kept trying to get this airplane kite to take flight. We did't have much luck.
There was a little time for swimming and if you were really cool you flew a kite while in the pool!

Babydolls and the Tooth-Fairy

Alan's cousin Maley left her babydoll at our house and the next day I found Alan taking care of it. It was so cute I had to catch a picture of him cuddling with the baby.
David lost his two bottom teeth. One fell out at school and they gave him a tooth sized treasure chest to bring it home in. How nice is that! I'ts fun being a kid.
I love this toothless grin.

Paving our Road!!!!

This was a dream come true! The county decided to pave our road! It feels so nice driving down our newly paved road now. Dreams can come true!

Easter 2012

Alan, David, Grant
I included several shots because I can never get one good one. So if you look at them all and pick the best from each then you get a good picture!

Alan and David picked some wild flowers.

Grant is starting to make faces for the camera here is one of them.
Alan running for an Easter egg.
The hunt is on. Grant decided to help hide the eggs this year. So he is helping Alan. What a good big brother!

 Alan, Corbin, Doug, and David
Easter is always fun with cousins.

Grant wanted this picture of him doing a cartwheel.
 David with his Easter basket.
 Alan and Grant with theirs.
Another one of Grant's faces for the camera.

Zoo trip with David's class

The Tiger was laying right next to the glass window.

David got to feed the giraffe. Alan was too scared.
You can see its tongue wrapped around David's fingers. He thought that was funny.
 Alan looking at the Elephants.
The Zoo has a new Elephant exhibit this was the 1st day it was open. It was really neat!

Alan is watching the Lion you can see it if you look hard. Anyway he got sacred a few times and crawled between my legs!
